SG International Championship

The last week of september I played the Swiss International Championship at the Golf Club du Domaine Impérial.

We were really lucky with the weather, we had sun and warm temperature for most of the tournament.

The course was wonderful and in great conditions with a funny and challenging design.

It was a very stady tournament for me, I shot (+3/+2/-1) to finish the event T21. I am still happy to have made the cut in another big event eventhough I couldn’t perform as I wanted, especially on the greens, wich costed me many shots during the week.

Swiss Golf Central Championship

Good tournament this week at Golf Club Sempachersee for the Swiss Golf Central Championship (16/17 September 2023).

I finished in 3rd position of the Amateur Ranking (4th position for the Overall Category) with the scores of 76/70/70 (Even level).

36 holes on saturday for the cut. I started very bad with a round of +4, playing not my best. Good reaction in the second round (-2) to pass the cut although I could have performed even better.

I played good golf on Sunday, with a very good performance on the putt.

It was a good weekend!

Caddy at the European Omega Master

I had the chance to caddy this year on the DP World Tour for my friend Loic Nass. What a wonderfull experience!

The Omega Master took place in Crans Montana from the 31th August to the 3rd September with some of the best professional players in the world.

Loic got a wildcard from Swiss Golf because of his Swiss Golf Men Ranking and asked me to caddy.

We had the chance of meeting and talking with some top players and we learned a lot.

Allthough the week finished early for us, we had a blast and it has surely been one of the best experiences of our lifes!

Win at the SG Junior Tour Bern

I played and won the Junior Tour Event in Bern this year at the Golfpark Mossee. The tournament took place in the end of August (26/27).

It was supposed to be a 54 holes tournament (3 rounds) but because of bad weather the 2nd round was cancelled after more or less 3 hours or delay.

I shot 69 (-3) in the 1st round after a good come back in bad weather in the back 9.

With that score I was in 2nd place just 1 shot back from the leader with 18 holes to go. That allowed me to be in the final flight for the last round.

The second day I started quite solid but a little slow, as I was -1 for the round after 9 holes, and 4 shots back with 9 holes left.

Allthough I was able to pull out a great 31 (-5) in the back nine. That meant a 66 (-6) and a total score of -9 for the tounament. That score was enough to win by 1shot!

Italian international amateur championship

I had the opportunity to partecipate at the Italian international amateur championship, a very big event of 72 holes (4rounds) with a cut after the 3rd round with some of the best players in Europe.

The tournament took obiously place in italy, next to Turin at the golf Royal Park I Roveri (3rd/6th July 2023).

The course was beautiful and very fun to play, with some chances in some holes and with also some tricky holes.

I strugggled during the 1st round, especially off the tee and that is why my score wasn’t good (76 /+4) after being a couple shots under at the turn.

During the 2nd round we had to stop the play for almost 3 hours because of heavy rain, after that we had th chance to go back on the course to finish our round, I played better and shot 70 (-2) wich got me back into the cut line.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish the tournament as I wanted. I shot 73/76 in the last 2 rounds but still happy about making the cut in such a competition! Tot. +7 (76/70/73/76) – T 65

Swiss Golf National Championship Men

And after the Swiss U18 Championships we moved to Golf de Bonmont for the National Match play Men Championships.
Despite not touching the ball well I played two good qualifying rounds (+1/-2) and qualified in tenth position for the round of 16.
Unfortunately I lost the first match play. I couldn’t get into the match and immediately went into a big disadvantage. Although I played better in the final the gap to my opponent was too big and I lost.
I am very frustrated but a new tournament awaits me next week so from tomorrow I have to practice and start again.

Swiss Golf National Championship U18

July is a busy month!
The excitement of the European Team Championships had not yet died down and it was time to face off against the best Swiss U18 players for the title of Swiss Champion 2023.
I was very motivated and convinced that I could play a great tournament but I couldn’t perform as well as I would have liked.
I ended the tournament in par in 10th position (-1/+3/-1/-1). Lots of birdies but too many mistakes.
I take home with me the knowledge that I did my best.

European Boys Team Championship

What an exciting week at the EBTC in Geneva!
I had the immense honour of being part of the team that represented Switzerland at the European Boys Team Championships.
We were a close-knit team where everyone made their contribution.
I played two good qualifying rounds (+1/+1) and my scores always helped the team. After the first round we were fourth! The second round started badly. My teammates who played in the morning had a bad day (+10 and +5). I went on the tee box knowing that my score was important and that I had to perform. I was under pressure but managed to finish with a solid +1 and we managed to qualify among the top eight teams playing for the title.
The first direct clash against England saw us lose 5-2.
I lost my match despite playing very good golf. I lacked experience.
The next day we beat Italy 4-3 and earned the chance to play for 5th place. I won my match against a very strong player. I was calm and played a solid, incisive game, winning 3-2.
The next day we played against Spain. I played the foursome together with a great friend of mine and we prevailed over the Spaniards 3-2. Switzerland won 3-2 and we finished the tournament in 5th place.
It was a magical experience!

Swiss Golf Open Championship

What a fantastic weekend at the Swiss Golf Open Championship!
This year the most important tournament of the Swiss season was held at my course, Golf Saint Apollinaire, with a field of excellent amateur and professional players.
We played on the Fruit Garden championship course with back-to-back tee boxes that made the course really difficult and selective.
I am really pleased with my performance. I finished in 5th place for the Overall Men Ranking (including Professionals players) and in 4th place for the Amateurs Ranking with a total of +5 for the tournament (71/75/75/72).
I made a few big mistakes but always managed to make up for them with lots of birdies!
It was exciting!
